Rehoming Supervisor
Team: Rehoming | Location: Dublin | Full-time – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

At Dogs Trust, you’ll do more than oversee processes, as our new Rehoming Supervisor you’ll play a key role in helping dogs find the right homes, supporting adopters through meaningful moments, and ensuring every rehoming journey is safe, smooth and welfare-led. You’ll be a central point of coordination, working closely with a passionate team to deliver the best outcomes for dogs and the people who love them.
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinating daily rehoming activity, including appointments, viewings and adoption handovers
- Managing case flow to ensure dogs progress smoothly through the adoption journey
- Monitoring complex or long-stay cases and supporting timely, welfare-led decisions
- Acting as a key escalation point for rehoming challenges or sensitive situations
- Providing day-to-day guidance and support to Rehoming Advisors
- Supporting staff in handling complex or emotionally charged adopter conversations
- Ensuring consistent application of rehoming policies and standards
- Collaborating closely with Behaviour, Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure aligned and informed decision-making
- Maintaining accurate records, documentation and compliance with internal policies and GDPR
- Supporting a safe environment for staff, adopters and visitors during rehoming activities
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has:
- Significant customer service and adopter-facing experience
- Ability to coordinate multiple cases and manage competing priorities
- Confidence in making decisions in complex, welfare-focused situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support and guide others in their day-to-day work
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- A commitment to Dogs Trust’s values and rehoming standards
- A full, clean manual driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience in a rehoming, rescue or animal welfare environment
- Experience supporting adoption processes or managing case flow
- Understanding of dog behaviour and welfare considerations
- Experience working across multiple teams or functions
- Familiarity with digital systems and case management tools
